To many this is only a game or boring simulation but for me it is a simulation with many depth and learning curves. I basically use this to learn the ins and outs in a unforgiving football world so that I could stay up to date with the latest trends regarding tactics, players, clubs and managers.
Starting off my blog I will be playing as a highly qualified football coach in FM16 managing Paris Saint-Germain F.C. In episode 1 I will be sharing some of my experiences as a manager during the first days at the office and my day to day activity at such a prestige club. Ultimately I will be covering my Transfers, Tactics, Training, Fixtures and results as well as staff and player situations. Basically everything a real life manger would deal with.
My goal for the season would be to win the UEFA Champions League with a club who dominates in the domestic league and cup matches but not always shine in the European domain. I would love to experience the thrills of winning a couple of Trophies within the first two seasons.
Two philosophies I am running by:
- Buying some big house names or buying players who will become big house names within two seasons.
- To sign hot prospects or develop them in order to promote them into the first team.
I will try and post my progress as far as I go and keep you updated on all the important event throughout my career.
Manager: Marinus de Villiers
Club: Paris Saint-Germain F.C
Arena/Stadium: Parc des Princes
League: Ligue 1
Available Leagues: France, England and Spain (Winter Update, Custom database)
I choose a continental pro licence as it suits the club I am managing well as well as a professional footballer at National level. I see myself more as a tactical manager who likes to work out his own tactics and manager player roles within the club as well as setting up contracts for them and making sure to build for the future.
In the following screen I just posted a screenshot of the clubs history and background for those interested.
I do hope you guys enjoy every single episode of my PSG save and I want to share my thoughts on players, staff, tactics and day to day management of World Class Clubs.
Greetings,
Marinus de Villiers
